About Carmelita
There are a couple of artists who go by the name Carmelita: 1. Carmelita is a power pop, loser core band from Madrid. They are influenced by guitar bands such as Japandroids, Beach Slang, Car Seat Headrest, and Soccer Mommy. The band started out in 2016 as a folk duo, comprised of singer singer songwriter Patrick Kilbride (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Alex Garcia (lead guitar). As a side project for Patrick, he started working on a demo tape that had more of a garage-rock sound to the acoustic songs that were already being worked on.
