Carly first picked up a guitar when she was nine years old, performing since the age of 13. Carly’s unique and eclectic songwriting portfolio was influenced early-on by the sounds of Simon and Garfunkel and James Taylor, and later by a convergence of diverse artists allowing her music to evolve, rendering her music difficult to categorise but creates exciting and thought-provoking listening. Carly’s band 'Captive’ developed an enthusiastic & loyal following playing her original work at the Sydney gig circuit
