Carlo Fiorelli was an Italian Baroque violinist and composer whose most concrete modern traces cluster around early-18th-century Dresden. Reference summaries associate him with the Dresden Hofkapelle in 1709 in the capacity of “chamber composer” and first violinist, and place his departure from the court by 1711. His surviving music is encountered above all through Dresden manuscript sources: a Violin Sonata in G minor, preserved in the Schrank II collections and copied by Johann Georg Pisendel
