About Cage the Olyphant
Cage the Olyphant is an American experimental project by Charles Hinds. The band started as a joke between friends with wordplay on Cage the Elephant and Timothy Olyphant. With interest in elaborate jokes and trying new things, Charles started the band, creating graphics and merch before there was any music. With little to no experience in music production, he started sampling films over simple beats on the first EP entitled Mountains of Carrion.
