About Caer Caradoc
Caer Caradoc is Maria Jardardottir and Matthew Jennings. They began working together in Leeds in Spring 2007, and completed a debut album ’Everything Happens for a Reason’ in Spring 2009. Their pagan ballads have roots in European folk music, but the inventiveness and pop sympathy of their songwriting takes them away from traditional folk territory, and towards a place more singular and expressive. Maria is involved in numerous other projects, all aimed at experimenting with the musicality of the human voice.
