Burmese Days were a five piece from southwest London. They played melodic pop and liked playing gigs. They broke up in May 2008 Whilst any popularity may be attributed to Rowan Martin's extreme dexterity and songwriting, most agreed the bass is the focal point of their songs, with lyrics, melody and drum beat merely hanging off it like clothes in a wardrobe. We are Burmese Days, named after a book 2 of us read and raised by the river. At 17 We're young enough to get away with it, but old enough to know better.
