The Maitri Vihar Monastery is located in Swoyambu Nath in Nepal and is home to some 50 monks from both Nepal and Tibet. They have released a CD, Tibetan Mantras and Chants, on which producer John Matarazzo of LogicalDrift presents a compilation of ten samples of Buddhist liturgical music. Most of the selections are chanted by the temple's resident monks. During some of the chants, bowls, cymbals and horns are used.
