About Brooder
Brooder (1996-2005) Pop-punk trio from Waterford City, Ireland formed in 1996 consisting of Mark (Dots) Doherty on vocals and bass, and Stephen Boyle on guitar and vocals. Drum duties were handled by a whole host of drummers, initially with Dave Whelan, then Jamie Grimes, Garry Doyle, Dave again, Hugh Kavanagh and finally Andy Walsh. Similar in sound to bands like Mr. T Experience, Zoinks, Naked Raygun, and The Hard-ons. Brooder released their first EP "Evil Eye" through Texan independent label Waffle Iron Records on March 17, 1999.
