Brian Dawson (born 16 or 17 August 1939; died 22 November 2013 in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire,) was a British folk song collector, musician and singer. He was a member of The Meggies (founders of The Grimsby Folk Club in the 1960s), The Higgeldy Piggeldy Band and The Broadside. He was perhaps better known in his later years for his solo performances, and his encyclopaedic knowledge of songs collected in his native Lincolnshire, mostly through his own lifelong work.
