Bound By Substance began its journey in Queens, New York, Astoria to be exact. Here is where drummer, Matt Farina, and rhythm guitarist, Dino Colacito, started a band. Angelo Marino, a fellow Astorian, was added on bass. Henry Rzonca from Maspeth, Queens was added on lead vocals / keyboards. Although their sound is often described as a blend of early 70's rock and early 90's grunge, there is something else - a rare quality to the music of BBS.
