About Boris Skalsky
Boris Skalsky is a musician, recordist, and composer. He founded the band Dead Heart Bloom in 2005 and has since released 2 LPs and 3 EPs under that name (the 2 LPs were both nominated for the Shortlist Music Prize). He was also a founding member of the band Phaser. In 2009 he released a solo record, First Songs. Having studied at the Manhattan School of Music, Boris has written and performed for the concert stage. Premieres of his works include two string quartets (the first of which received a BMI prize)
