About Bloody Amateur
Bloody Amateur is Andy Comer, a guitar player and singer living in New York. Andy founded the band Tel Aviv (Teen-Beat) in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, in 1994. His next band, Prosaics (Dim Mak, Matador), was named one of NYC's "25 Best New Bands" by New York magazine and a "Band to Watch" by Spin. The group toured the U.S. with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Liars, and the U.K. with the Rapture, before breaking up in 2005 — which meant that Prosaics' debut full-length for Matador Records would never see light of day.
