Blind Boy Grunt was a pseudonym used by Bob Dylan between 1962 and 1963. The name appeared on recordings made for Broadside magazine and record label, which was associated with the folk and protest movement. At the time, Dylan was already under an exclusive contract with Columbia Records, which prevented him from officially appearing on releases from other labels. To circumvent legal and contractual restrictions, he adopted the name Blind Boy Grunt.
