Early life of Blessing: Blessing Essor Ugbe Okorji was born in Ahoada, Riverstate Nigeria, the daughter of Chief John Ugbe and Tina Okorji, both parents are from Ahoada. She is the eldest of 8 siblings, She is also a mother of two male children. Her talent in singing was discovered when sitting beside her Grandad learning his songs. Although a shy girl, as her mother considered her, Blessing was placed in her community church choir St Mary Church of England at age 8.
