
Birdsongs of the Mesozoic is a musical group founded in Boston, Massachusetts in 1983. After Roger Miller broke up the seminal post-punk group Mission of Burma due to his tinnitus, he co-formed Birdsongs of the Mesozoic to perform quieter music. Initial personnel were Roger Miller (piano), Martin Swope (guitar), Erik Lindgren (keyboards) and Rick Scott (keyboards); all personnel doubled on various percussion instruments. The new group was entirely instrumental
