About Birdland with Lester Bangs
Birdland was an American punk rock band formed in 1977 by Lester Bangs and guitarist Mickey Leigh. Birdland performed regularly at local New York clubs such as CBGB and Max's Kansas City. They recorded a 9 song demo tape in one night. It was later released as an album, birdland with lester bangs, in 1986.
