Billy T burst into the hip hop music scene when he dropped his hit single "we tryna blaze" on a radio show at san diego state university. the song shortly after became an underground hit and gained billy exposure and street cred. The following year he released one more single, "shake it fast." Both songs talk about billy's struggle to make it out of the ghetto of montreal, where he grew up. He left the rap game for undisclosed reasons almost immediately after the song.
