About Billy Clone and the Same
Billy Clone and The Same were (along with their hardcore contemporaries The Consumers) one of the first major punk/New Wave bands in the Southwest. The band formed in the late 1970s when Mike Corte, Bruce Connole and Damon Doiron united to bring their cerebral punk sound to Phoenix. Corte was the group's chief songwriter. The group's known recorded output consists of a four-song EP, "X and Y", released on Moon Dog records and produced by psych music legend Mike Condello
