About Big Blue The Band
“Big Blue” is Steve McMurry’s latest project. While not exactly retro, the music of this quintet is reminiscent of the best music from the 1970’s. The time honored tones of slide guitar, electric piano, driving bass, real drums, tight vocals and a funky groove, congregate to form a nostalgic blend of honest music. Their repertoire is mostly comprised of Steve McMurry’s original material. To add flavor, a few cool tunes by some of the heroes of this band have been rescued from obscurity.
