Bertin Quentin (“l’aîné” / the elder; b. before 1690 – d. early 1767, Ermont) Bertin Quentin—known in the sources as “Quentin l’aîné” to distinguish him from his younger brother Jean-Baptiste Quentin (“le jeune”)—was a French violinist and composer whose career was rooted in the professional orchestral world of early-18th-century Paris.
