About Benh Zeitlin
Benh Zeitlin (born October 14, 1982) is an American filmmaker, composer, and animator. Zeitlin was raised in Queens, New York City. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. His parents are Amanda Dargan and Steve Zeitlin, folklorists of City Lore in New York City. Zeitlin is of Jewish descent on his father's side. Zeitlin's mother is from Darlington, South Carolina. In 2004, he cofounded the Court 13 independent filmmaking collective
