About Beneath The Blackened Earth
Beneath The Blackened Earth was formed in 2008 in Port Arthur, TX by guitarist/vocalist Benjamin Messina. Messina had previously founded the alternative rock band SAMSARA which was on hiatus at the time BTBE was established. Beneath The Blackened Earth claimed to be inspired by horror films and their soundtracks, particularly ones dealing with zombies and apocalyptic themes. In 2009, BTBE released it's first full-length CD of demo recordings entitled "And The Dead Will Outnumber The Living.
