Bartolomeo Roy (c.1530-1599), also known as Le Roy, Le Roi, Roi, Lo Roi, or Lo Roy, was a Burgundian-origin composer, violinist, and chapel master active in late-sixteenth-century Italy. His career moved through major Roman institutions, including San Giovanni in Laterano and the English College, before reaching its strongest documented institutional position at the Real Cappella in Spanish-ruled Naples. Roy’s surviving music appears above all in the anthology culture of the late Renaissance.
