About baroque monody
Formed in depths of the winter of 2013 in Youngstown, Ohio, Baroque Monody is the shared vision of two musicians. The concept and vision of lead singer, guitarist, keyboardist and song writer Jennifer Rose (Ex-Sam Goodwill), the band was born when guitarist and songwriter Rick Polo (Ex-Relic, The Denial Stage) sought out Rose to front a goth/sludge project. Rose brought her psychedelic and shoegaze influences to the table, and the duo immediately began writing songs that range in style from alternative, goth, shoegaze, post-punk and doom.
