Barick Bulman (also encountered in sources as Baruch Bulman, and sometimes simply as “Mr Bulman”) is an obscure English musician of around 1600 whose historical footprint is defined more by attribution than by recoverable biography. Nothing in the surviving evidence securely fixes his dates, place of birth, education, or employment, and even the mapping between the name found in lute sources (“Mr Bulman”) and the choral composer known from a small number of sacred pieces remains probable rather than proven.
