Barend Broeckhuysen is a name preserved in early-modern source traditions as the attribution for a Sarabande found in 17th-century Dutch and north-European manuscript repertories for lute and keyboard. Modern scholarship on MS Enkhuizen 1667-1 lists the piece as “Saraband Barend Broeckhuisen” and traces concordant witnesses, including the St Petersburg keyboard manuscript RUS-SPan Q N 204 and Stockholm’s Finspøng MS 9098; modern library catalogues likewise carry the item as “Saraband / Barend Broeckhuisen.”
