About Ban
Bananas were formed in 1981. In 1982 they win the Portuguese Festival Só-Rock (Rock Em Stock/7UP). In 1983 they sign with EMI Portugal and release a single produced by Tóli César Machado. The tracks included are "Identidade" and "Virgens-Impulsos". Afterwards Jorge Romão leaves the band and joins GNR (Portugal). The band changes their name to Ban and releases the mini-LP "Alma Dorida". Included are four original songs without keyboards, only guitar, bass, voice and drums.
