Ball Noir is a band from the Netherlands. They make a kind of music which they call "Doomball"; it can be described as Balfolk dancing music, but with heavy influences from rock and (doom) metal. They succeed surprisingly well in mixing these very different genres of music. Many of Ball Noir's song titles start with the name of the Balfolk-dance that can be danced to the song, followed by "of Death" - and while their songs are very suitable for Balfolk dancing, it is not uncommon to also see people headbanging during one of their concerts.
