Baby Killer Estelle, named for the female character consigned to hell for killing her baby in the Jean-Paul Sartre play, "No Exit," is a Washington DC-based hardcore/cabaret piano-and-drums duo. Created three years ago by then-high school students pianist/songwriter Leo Svirsky and drummer Sam Shahin, the band is known for its lacerating social commentary and its ability to seamlessly incorporate disparate musical genres, from dub to klezmer to punk, and more.
