There is more than one artist named Avant Garden. 1. A Finnish alternative rock band 2. An American psychedelic/jazz band 1. Formed in the aftermath of a Queens of the Stone Age concert in summer 2013, Avant Garden is an alternative rock trio based in Central Finland. The band consists of Jaakko Inkinen, Teemu Kaipomäki and Ville Hardén, who originally met during a gap year in a music institute in 2009. Wondering why they’d never had a real musical project together, they decided to give it a shot.
