August Actually was an apocalyptic folk-rock four-piece from Nottingham, UK, who formed in March 2011 and went on hiatus in January 2015. Originally a 6-piece, over their four year career they released a 5 song EP (Songs From the Lighthouse), a double A-side single (Werewolf/Vampire), and, in January 2015, their debut album The Forever War which features 11 tracks from across the band's live career. The band played exactly 50 gigs, appearing on line-ups featuring the likes of Allo Darlin, Darren Hayman, and The Wave Pictures.
