Aubrey Small is a very tight knit group with their music, as they to not fall into any kind of genre per se. They play a variety from progressive, pop, blues to folk, country, and jazz like progressions. No genre stereotyping with them and their music is appealing and engaging. They can play any type of music and are incredibly fluent in their creative compositions and lyrics, in all of their songs. I would suggest that they are similar to Badfinger and Blue Oyster Cult in their vocals and as progressive as The Guess Who and the Byrds.
