About Atrocity and the Complications
Atrocity and the Complications formed in Lexington, KY, USA, in the spring of 2013 when a pile of machinery known as The Atrocity moved in with The Mayor and twin sisters Lucia and Maria. Inspired by a dismal change of weather and even more dismal Victorian English literature, the quartet composed two albums of funereal dance music, driven by 12-string guitars, E-bows, and electronic backing, combining a balance of American death rock and gothic rock sounds with tinges of psych, glam, new wave, witch house, and extreme metal.
