About Astra Pentaxia
Born to a music-loving mother in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., Astra Pentaxia was raised on New Order, Liz Phair and The Dandy Warhols. At the age of 13, Astra was given a guitar for Christmas and immediately began to compose her own songs. Working at a record store in high school enriched her taste for electronic music, but it was not until she moved to San Francisco in 2008 that she began to explore ways to make her music less traditionally acoustic and more digital.
