Assend is the end result of the now de-funk PaNdR, a duo that until lately made commercial and advertising tracks. The man behind the tracks is California born Phil Marquez, now an Atlanta resident swirling in a sea of overnight successes. With hip hop being the primary force in Atlanta's music scene, one would think that any form of recognition to Assend's approach to a project would easily be passed on.
