Asheq Hoseyn Sayi is a contemporary Iranian āshiq (minstrel) from East Azerbaijan, best known for his partnership with Asheq Hasan Eskandari on the 2005 album Regional Music of Iran, Vol. 7: Āsheqi Music from East Azerbaijan. A vocalist and saz player, Sayi specializes in the hâvâs (short lyrical pieces) and deishma (musical‑poetic dialogues) traditions of the region, bringing both epic and lyric forms—such as Kuroghlu and Asli va Karam—to life with his clear, resonant voice.
