Artificial Joy NYC were a a rock band that former Size 14 bassist Robt Ptak started when he moved to New York after leaving Size 14 in 1997. Many of the bands songs performed live were previous Artificial Joy songs Ptak had wrote while in LA and in Size 14. Artificial Joy NYC featured Milena Mepris Pin Me Down on guitar who would later form Pin Me Down with Russell Lissack of Block Party, Mark Cevellos on Bass and John Lamkin on drums. The band played shows regularly in New York
