
Art Stamper was a fiddle player who played and taught the Appalachian fiddle style he learned from his father, Hiram Stamper. He performed with The Stanley Brothers and Bill Monroe And The Bluegrass Boys and was a member of the Bluegrass Hall of Fame. Art died after a four-year battle with throat cancer in Louisville, Kentucky on January 23, 2005.
