
Arno Babajanyan (Babajanian) was born on January 22, 1921, in Yerevan , Armenia. When he was 5 year old, composer Aram Khachaturyan recommended Babajanyan to study music seriously. In 1928 he was admitted to the group of gifted children at the Yerevan Conservatory. Babajanyan wrote his first composition 'Pioneer's March', when he was 9. He was a professor at the Yerevan Conservatory from 1950-1956. In Armenia, Babajanyan composed the best concert works such as the 'Heroic Ballade for piano and orchestra' in 1950
