About Ari and Mia Friedman
Ari Friedman and Mia Friedman are members of a dynamic folk band Ari & Mia. Their music is all at once driving, uplifting and moving. Ari is a recent graduate of Northwestern University where she studied cello performance with Hans Jorgen Jensen. She is an inventive folk cellist and, aside from gigging with Mia, she performs, tours, and records with Scottish National Fiddle champion Hanneke Cassel. She also is a member of New England's highly acclaimed fiddle band Childsplay, and teaches at various fiddle camps.
