mpossibly funky drummer Ed Apple Nelson lived in LA but grew up in New Orleans. He was a total hustler, swapping women & drugs around while trying to tall tale his way into a recording career. But whenever he played the drums, everything turned upsidedown. His insane way of cutting up the beat, interrupting it even before it gets there, is magically, instantly reminiscent of Arizona's Dyke & the Blazers.
