About Antonis Apergis
He was born in Nikaia, Athens in 1963. Before going to school he started playing the guitar. At the age of 8 he took classical guitar lessons with Alekos Bouras at the National Conservatory. At 11 he started playing the recorder, at 20 he started playing the oud and the double-bass and at 29 he took on playing the kanonaki (zither) and the ney (folk flute). Later on he started playing fretless guitar. Aside from being a performer he is also a renown composer and arranger.
