Antiquus episcopus Boneventinus is the rubric-name attached in the Codex Calixtinus to the St James conductus Iacobe sancte, tuum repetito (f. 131, with later concordance in the manuscript’s polyphonic materials). The figure’s historical identity remains unclear in open sources, but the attribution survives through this major 12th-century witness from Santiago de Compostela and is heard today in complete-Calixtinus performances such as Sequentia’s Vox Iberica I: Sons of Thunder.
