About Andreas Brunmayr

Johann Andreas Brunmayr (* November 23, 1762 in Laufen an der Salzach; † February 10, 1815 in the city of Salzburg) was a Salzburg organist and composer. Johann Andreas Brunmayr was the son of the Laufen innkeeper and ironmonger Rupert Brunmayr and his wife Maria Sophia. He received his first music lessons from the monastery organist Joseph Pichler, after which he was a choirboy in the Benedictine Abbey of Michaelbeuern . In 1791 he moved to Salzburg and became the organist and valet of the abbot of Michaelbeuern Nikolaus Hofmann
