Amrollah was born in 1923 in Sahneh to Lotfollah Shah Ebrahimi (the great Tanbur player). He began learning Tanbur and the ancient and ritual maqams with his father, Seyyed Lotfollah, an eminent Tanbur player. Then he continued his further studies with such great masters as Darvish Sa'di, Seyyed Hadi Ojaq. Seyyed Aqa 'Aziz Zonnuri and Seyyed Hoseyn Rutafi. Having comprehended the styles of the elder masters, he has served as a true narrator of the ancient and sacerd (haqqani) maqams of Tanbur.
