About Amit Kumar
Amit Kumar (born 3 July 1952) is an Indian film playback singer and actor. He is the son of famous singer and actor Kishore Kumar and famous bengali actress Ruma Guha Thakurta, and has sung many popular Bollywood film songs in the 1980s and early 1990s. As a leading playback singer in Bollywood, he sang many songs for Kumar Gaurav who was a rising star in the 1980s. Amit Kumar also acted in films which were directed by and starred his late father. His notable ones were Badhti Ka Naam Daadi (1974) and Shabhash Daddy (1979).
