About Aminadav Aloni
Aminadav Aloni was born in Tel Aviv, in 1928 (died 1999), while Palestine was under British mandate. His parents were children of "Pioneers," families that fled the pogroms of eastern Europe to walk overland, sail, or ride horseback to the promised land. In 1999, Aminadav Aloni succumbed to cancer after a long and valiant battle. He left behind an awe inspiring body of musical compositions. The power of his music is attributable to an unusual blending of talents.
