About America Owns the Moon
AMERICA OWNS THE MOON (2000-2005) came to be in the Lexington House (R.I.P.) in beautiful historic Fountain Square just outside of downtown Indianapolis in the summer of 2000. During the recording of LET'S PRETEND WE'RE RETARDED (2000), the combination of Ben Messer, Danny Russell, Tony Beemer and Christian Taylor became AMERICA OWNS THE MOON. Taylor (originally from Georgia) came to Indianapolis out of the army. Russell and Messer are cousins and have been in punk rock bands with Beemer for many long time.
