Alfonzo McCarthy is from Lawton, Oklahoma where growing up there were no urban radio stations but instead Pop Top 40, Country, and Weather Stations. At the age of five he was first exposed to music video in the early 80's by tv networks such as HBO, Nite Traxs on WTBS, MTV, and Friday Night Videos on NBC. Besides the enjoyment of listening to the music it was the videos that really fueled his love for wanting to be a music artist. His family too notice this and would by him music equipment such as a keyboard to practice
