
Alex Hood is an Australian folk singer. He was, for years, a dedicated collector and interpreter of Australian folklore. His album "Alex Hood sings of Australia's First Hundred Years" was followed in 1970 by "The Second Hundred Years", both featuring his interpretations of traditional Australian folk songs. There was also an American banjo player called Alex Hood active in the 1930s.
